The Kenko chain of Foot Reflexology Centres has been brought into India by Lyrus Fitness Pvt. Ltd. Lyrus Fitness was founded by Ms. Vandana Virwani in January 2009. This homemaker turned businesswoman's foray into wellness is one she attributes to her passion to promote reflexology, both as a form of therapy, as well as one of relaxation to the urban Indian.
During Vandana's several visits to Singapore, she discovered Kenko Reflexology treatments, and found them to be not only relaxing, but invigorating to her entire being. Her fascination for the Fish Spa treatment, as a natural exfoliation of the feet, by tiny doctor fish, further encouraged her vision. On discovering that Kenko Reflexology and Fish Spa all over South East Asia use home-learnt techniques that are unique, she decided to bring them to her home country.
We opened our second Kenko outlet at Garuda Mall in Bangalore and our third outlet in Express Avenue Mall in Chennai. We also plan to open 3 more outlets in India by the end of 2011. Our future plan is to spread Kenko's benefits to the people all over the country. As people are rapidly becoming more and more conscious of their health and wellbeing, they are actively seeking ways to sustain themselves. Kenko's avowed objective is to provide everyone with the widest possible access to all our holistic options, all over the country.
We have also taken the franchise route due to high demand for our services from other cities. We also own Sunny's, a fine-dining restaurant located in Bangalore. Our company also serves the unprivileged and we are currently running an orphanage for 50 children.
